Siikaneva 10km lenkki / A 10km trekking route in Siikaneva (26.8.2017)

Lähdimme koko talouden vahvuudella Lauantaina heti aamusta Tampereelta, kohti Ruoveden Siikanevaa.

Paikka on nimeltään joko Siikanevan Soidensuojelualue, -kansallispuisto, tai -luonnonsuojelualue.

Se sijaitsee n.70km päässä Tampereesta, Ruovedellä.

Täyspitkän (10km) kierroksen varrella kaksi nuotiopaikkaa, ensimmäinen jo noin 200m parkkipaikalta ja toinen, laavullinen nuotiopaikka n.4km pitemmällä.

Suota ja pitkospuuta matkan varrella on yllin kyllin. Usein pysähtyykin metsästä suolle saapuessa ihmettelemään, kuinka kaksi täysin eri maailmaa kohtaavat.

Ko. paikka, tarkemmin sanottuna ensimmäinen nuotiopaikka ja sinne johtavat pitkospuut, ovatkin suosikkipaikkani tähtien kuvausta ajatellen.

Olemme avovaimoni kanssa yhdessäoloaikanamme viettäneetkin siellä varmasti vuorokausia katsellen nuotiota ja/tai tähtiä.

We set our heading on Saturday towards Siikaneva, from Tampere, with the full head count of our household.

The place resides in Ruovesi and it is a preservation area for swamps.

I'm unsure about the official name of the area, it could be called Siikaneva National Park, Siikaneva Preservation Area, or maybe Siikaneva Swamp Preservation Area.. but that's not that important.

I is located about 70km from Tampere, right next to route 66.

The full round's length is 10km, and there are two bonfire locations within it.

The first bonfire place is only about 200m from the parking area, the second one is equipped with a wicket, making it easy for overnight trips, and is located about 4km from the parking area.

Swamps and duckboards are plentiful in this area. You'll often find yourself stopping to wonder, when entering a swamp area from a forest, how two completely different worlds collide.

This particular area, specifically the first bonfire place and the duckboards leading to it, is by far my favorite place, when stargazing and/or astrophotographing.

Me and my partner have spent many, many nights there, watching the bonfire and stars.

I can easily recommend this place as a day trip location, or an overnight trip location.
